Faculty-Led Programs
Developing and Coordinating the Experience
The Education Abroad (EA) Office is responsible for coordinating all faculty-led education abroad programs at Washington State University. Faculty members contemplating a faculty-led program are encouraged to contact Ashley Krause, the Faculty-Led Program Specialist in the Education Abroad Office, as early in the design process as possible. The Education Abroad Office will provide departments and faculty with the following types of assistance:
- Assist with program development, including the contract bid process;
- Supply all necessary forms for establishment of the program including program proposal forms, participant applications, contracts, and incident report forms;
- Assist with publicity and promotion of the Faculty-Led Program;
- Assist with student application, screening and selection;
- Handle monetary transactions, including collection of program fees and disbursement of funds, and submission of revised expense forms for student financial aid; and
- Offer faculty workshops for program implementation.
- Assist with pre-departure orientation sessions.

- Fall 2007 programs: December 1, 2006
- Spring 2008 programs:
April 1, 2007 - Summer 2008 programs: July 1, 2007
