I really wasn't sure what I was looking for when making my decision about where to go for my semester abroad.

Studying abroad in Australia is an experience that has forever changed my life. Since my major is International Business, studying abroad is one of the program requirements. I decided to choose Australia because I have always dreamed about traveling there.
I spent the summer in Florence, Italy attending culinary school with the Italy: Food and Wine program. Florence was at one point considered the cultural center of the universe, and in my opinion, it still is. It is the perfect city to explore the culinary arts.
I came to Kongsberg, Norway to study International Business for my MBA program. Because I had already taken both of the classes being offered on the faculty-led program, Professor Trevino kindly made arrangements for me to do an independent study.
What started as a project has now turned into a passion. During this past year I was part of a group of four students from engineering and entrepreneurship at WSU who went on a faculty-led trip to Malawi, Africa.
The plane is taxiing for take-off to Hong Kong. I find that my heart still rests in a small hospital in central China. Orphans. Pharmacy. The three flowed into a wonderful opportunity to see babies' lives saved and technological leaps forward in the newly established hospital laboratory and pharmacy.

For the last four months, I have been completing my student teaching experience on an American Military Base in Bamberg, Germany. A professor in the Education Department suggested that I apply to student teach abroad and I was enthusiastic about the idea because I have been interested in learning about other cultures, but had not heard of any study abroad opportunities for Education students.
Italy has always interested me because of its overall allure. When I started to look for a study abroad program, I was overwhelmed with all the decisions I needed to make. In what city did I want to study? What classes did I want to take?
