Alleviating Poverty in Developing Countries

Brooke Randall who has been extensively involved in microfinancing within the developing world will share his insights and experiences in social entrepreneurship. This presentation is open to the public.

Randall will show how this new approach differs from previous strategies that have been tried, and will discuss why it is that social entrepreneurship is gaining momentum among the international development community.

About Brooke Randall

Mr. Randall is the Associate Vice President of Capital Markets at Unitus, a company that focuses on Innovative Solutions to Global Poverty. Randall has been extensively involved in executing capital markets transactions for Unitus microfinance institution (“MFI”) partners in Argentina, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the Philippines. He advises senior management of Unitus MFI partners on financial and business planning matters.  In addition he was involved in the selection of, and due diligence on, new MFI partners in South East Asia.

Prior to Unitus Brooke was at Quellos Private Capital, where he invested in private equity and venture capital funds across numerous sectors including information technology, healthcare, natural resources and real estate. Mr. Randall holds a B.A. from Washington State University.
