Education abroad fair offers global opportunities
The Washington State University Education Abroad Fair will be held on Wednesday, September 3 on Glenn Terrell Mall from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Students in any field of study can find cost-effective programs to enhance their education and give a global perspective on their area of study. Visit the fair to talk more than 20 study abroad program providers offering study and internship opportunities in over 40 countries.

New China center boosts study options
WSU's College of Business has signed an agreement for a new center at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) in Chengdu, China, as part of its ongoing vision to enhance the college’s international presence. The new agreement means that the college will have a permanent presence at SWUFE with office space and a program director on-site. Rose The college has been building a relationship with SWUFE since 1998 when Jerman Rose, associate dean of undergraduate programs, first visited the campus. Since that time, SWUFE students have been involved with an MBA corporative program, and students from the Chinese campus have had the opportunity to travel to WSU to complete a certificate program in international business.

Two Students Receive Prestigious NSEP Scholarship
Two Washington State University students will each receive a $20,000 National Security Education Program (NSEP) David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarship to study in China. A third WSU student was selected as an alternate. The recipients include Jared Downing and Luke Mohr. Alison Leach is the alternate student.
