Involvement Opportunities
The International Center encourages students to develop cross-cultural skills that are important to our increasingly global society.
International Students' Council
The ASWSU International Students’ Council offers leadership opportunities for both international and domestic students to become involved in student government at WSU. The International Students’ Council is the official voice of the international student population on campus and is intricately involved in the internationalization of the campus community through programs such as International Education Week.
International Peer Mentor Program
The International Peer Mentor Program offers an on-campus opportunity for international and domestic undergraduate students to develop cross cultural competency and communication skills. International Peer Mentors are current WSU students who help facilitate orientation for the new international students and continue contact with their mentees throughout the semester. The program offers a unique opportunity to earn academic credits, work with diverse group, and have first-hand leadership experience.

Some of our interns work on public relations, programming, office management and organizational history alumni relations and resource management.
Friends and Family
The Friends and Family Program is designed to introduce American family life to international students interested in getting off campus and into the homes of families and community members from the surrounding area. This program strengthens the ties between the campus and community and offers a great opportunity for cross-cultural sharing.
