Purpose of program is to:

  • Provide 3 Yemen scientists an opportunity to work with WSU scientists in fields of entomology, irrigation & plant breeding.
  • Foster increased collaboration & networking between Yemen & WSU scientists.
  • During 6-week tour of shadowing their faculty mentor, participants learn new research techniques, access libraries, & learn about public-private partnerships in the US.
  • Familiarize Yemen scientists with the linkages between US universities & CGIAR international agricultural research centers.
  • During the 6 weeks the Yemen scientists will learn about the graduate curricula.
