Youth Leadership for Ecuador
Project Description
The Youth Leadership Program is designed to provide an intensive leadership training program for Ecuadorian youth working with their home communities to enhance sustainability and development.
Youth will visit Spokane Washington for three weeks where they will participate in democracy, leadership and strategic planning workshops as well as cultural exchanges with area youth. The visit will culminate with a six day visit to Washington DC for meetings with our sponsors at the State Department, visits to landmarks and good governance workshops.

- Promote mutual understanding among the people of Washington State and Ecuador
- Develop a sense of civic responsibility and community development among Ecuadorian youth
- Foster relationships among youth from different ethnic, religious, and national groups in Ecuador and Washington State.
- Enhance community development and civil society efforts in Ecuador for the long term through an investment in youth.
