Students
The Office of International Students & Scholars provides a broad range of services for international students at Washington State University including:
- Information for Incoming Students following admission regarding visa application processing, logistical information to help plan their travel to Pullman , housing resources, etc.
- Week-long orientation for new incoming students that includes explanations about immigration regulations information about the academic system, and programs designed to help students acclimate to life at WSU and in the U.S.
- Weekly email Immigration Advisories that provide important reminders regarding regulatory requirements and alerts regarding important University matters.
- Weekly email Events Announcements about activities happening on campus and in the community.
- OISS collaborates with the International Center to provide social programs that promote the interaction between international and domestic students such as Campus Friends, Peer Mentor Program, and Friends and Family programs.
- Advisors work closely with departments on campus that may have questions about the rules and regulations governing international students on nonimmigrant visas, advice on handling cultural differences and/or barriers, etc.
