Check-in/Orientation
All J-1 Student Interns must attend a mandatory orientation meeting at the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS), Bryan Hall room 108 shortly after arriving at Washington State University (WSU)*. The date and time of the orientation meeting will be assigned to you based on your anticipated arrival to Washington State University and communicated through you host department and/or OISS.
Things you need to bring/provide:
All of the following documents:
- Your immigration documents; passport, visa stamp, DS-2019 Certificate of Eligibility
- DS-7002 Intern Placement Plan (copy with all original signatures)
- Evidence of insurance,
- Address information for your place of residence
You are also required to fill out a short information form. At this time you may request a travel endorsement signature on your DS-2019.
*Branch Campus Student Interns do not have to come to the Pullman campus to check in or attend an orientation in person. The documents listed above can be sent to OISS as attached scanned immages and an orientation session via video teleconferencing technology can be scheduled. Check in and orientation are required for all student interns.
