Orientation

Congratulations on your acceptance to Washington State University and welcome to our family of international students and scholars! The New International Student Orientation provides important information regarding your stay as a student, campus resources and services in the community.

Spring Semester 2010

The orientation for Sprig Semester 2010 begins on Tuesday, January 5 and continues through Friday, January 8, 2010. The orientation schedule will be available at the orientation check-in. Please meet us in the following locations on Tuesday, January 5:

  • Undergrad Student Check-in: 11:30 am, @ Smith Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE) 203
  • Grad Student Check-in:11:30 am, @ Smith Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE) 203

If you miss the orientation check-in, please come to OISS at Bryan Hall 108 as soon as you arrive at WSU.

Attendance at the orientation is mandatory for all international students, including students transferring from other U.S. schools. The orientation will provide valuable information that will ease your transition to campus and help ensure your success.

The University charges a mandatory, non-refundable “student matriculation fee” to all degree-seeking undergraduate students upon enrollment.  All other international students, not subject to the matriculation fee, are charged an non-refundable orientation fee.

Pre-arrival and Registration

Please verify your contact information using the Pre-arrival Information Request Form in order to receive the pre-arrival information. Also, please let us know that you are coming to WSU by completing the International Arrival Notification Form. The information you provide in the form will help us better prepare for your arrival at WSU.
