Students talkingThe Office International Students and Scholars (OISS) collaborates with the International Center to offer a variety of programs to help international students make friends and gain cultural and academic experience while at Washington State University.

 

International Center

The International Center offers programs and resources including job search workshops, personal development programs, coffee hour discussions, movie nights, and programs that promote relationship building.

Peer Mentor Program

The Peer Mentor Program matches new international students with a more experienced student to assist them with adjusting academically, culturally, and socially to the United States and Washington State University.

Campus Friends

Campus Friends is an informal program in which international students are paired with U.S. students to meet once a week socially to learn and share about each other’s culture and language.

The Friends and Family Program matches students with local families to share and learn about each others cultures.

International Center Internship Program

The International Center Internship Program provides an opportunity for both U.S. and international students to gain practical work experience related to their major field of study in an intercultural setting.
