Overview

International Programs serves as the Washington State University advocate for interaction between faculty, students, and citizens of nations and cultures worldwide. The staff within the service units of International Programs collectively work to "build bridges" with diverse people groups, programs, and researchers.

World-class Faculty from many Nations

world class facultyTop faculty from around the world come to Washington State University for research and teaching opportunities. Last year approximately 650 faculty and researchers from abroad helped to make WSU a "global land-grant university."

Outreach to Students from over 100 Countries

Washington State University supports outreach and instruction to over 1,300 international students. This broad range of students contributes to the diversity mission of the University community.

Study Abroad Opportunities Worldwide

Study abroad studentsEducation Abroad provides students and faculty with opportunities for study abroad, exchanges, international internships, service-learning, and Fulbright graduate awards. Education Abroad works with faculty in expanding the international content of existing courses and developing new courses.

Research and Development

Washington State University conducts education, research and outreach with over 150 public and private sector partners worldwide. This includes projects involving agriculture, biological engineering, natural resource sciences, civil and environmental engineering, business development and economic sciences.
